The Aloe Plant

There are a number of Aloe vera species, but the Aloe barbadensis Miller contains the most beneficial properties and is the only genus grown for AloeLaboratories. Aloe plants, being hearty and pest-resistant, already have an inherent advantage over other crops. In addition to the sharp spines on the leaves, a very bitter substance in the leaves repels insects, animals and birds. Therefore, Aloe vera does not require commercial chemicals for protection.

Aloe vera grown year-round and is a labor-intensive crop - everyting is done by hand. Our agricultural specialists cultivate the plants with care. The leaves of the plant are harvested continually, every day of the year, then taken directly to the AloeLaboratories manufacturing facility for immediate processing.
